We are stuck

How many times have you heard this:

“If you follow this five minute routine once a day, you will lose ten kilos.”

“It’s your fault you’re fat. You’re not motivated enough.”

“Here’s my program to make sure you don’t gain weight during pregnancy”

We get this messaging everyday, then have it simultaneously followed up with advertising for fast food, supplements, diet drugs (you know the one, that’s supposed to help diabetics?) and “body positivity”

We are stuck on the hamster wheel of quick fixes and influencers promoting workouts and products that will not work.

Right now, in Australia, over 60% of our population is classified as overweight or obese. And it’s been trending up since the 90s. We are not a healthy country anymore.

Chronic disease is now recorded at 50% within our population and that figure isn’t restricted to old age. That’s 1 in 2 people who will have long term health issues.

Interestingly, women are reporting a higher instance of chronic disease.

Many of the chronic health conditions are associated with obesity and at the very least, not helped by it.

You should be seeing these numbers and be shocked.

But if you’re one of these stats, please know, that the system is stacked against you. Understanding nutrition is so convoluted – because it’s meant to be.

You’re gaslit into believing medication will solve the problem – and that your body is not an intelligent organism that has amazing abilities to heal itself, when properly supported.

I’m not selling programs or self help. But I do work with my clients and meet them exactly where they’re at. Not where I’m at. We go one step at a time. That’s the powerful thing we can do for each other.

Share you comments if you have felt like this or are shocked by the current health climate.
